Leaderboard update

Mar - 13 2012 | no comments | By

Dallas Seavey is still in a relatively Comfy lead of 7 mikes ahead of Aily Zirkle who seems to desperately try to catch up with him and at the same time she is holding off Ramey who is catching up with her at about 1/4 mile every hour, shortening his distance from the 2nd place. If they all can keep their pace for the remaining 40 miles or so Aily and Ramey will run out of trail before either one can leapfrog the one in front.

Dallas has started out of White Mountain and is now on his final 77miles to Nome and the finish line. Aily Zirkle has taken off about one hour after him and Ramey Smythe is in  3rd place and about 50 minutes behind Aily.

Dallas Seavey is in White Mountain

Mar - 13 2012 | no comments | By

Dallas arrived in White Mountain checkpoint for his last 8 hour mandatory layover. Aily Zirkle is 5 miles and about 30 minutes behind him. Judging from the speeds and runs to White Mountain it looks like that even though Dallas runs only with 10 dogs he is Isa little bit faster than Aily and was able to increase the distance little since heading out of Koyuk.

It is going going to be tough for Aily to catch up with him once he leaves white mountain with a rested team I am afraid. But still it is going to be a close finish
