Criple drowns in snow

Mar - 08 2012 | By

Just read the latest news from the halfway checkpoint in Criple. Lots of fresh and dry powdery snow which makes the last 25 miles to the checkpoint tough on all teams. The first teams were expected around 1:30 Alaska time but that estimate will have to be revised. To what? Your guess is as good as mine. Meanwhile the back of the pack who spent the 24 hour rest in McGrath is now closing in on Takotna and Ophir slowly catching up with the leaders. Time to take my mandatory rest for today. Will come back with more info in the morning.
